Wendy Kirchoff
American Exploration & Production CouncilWendy Kirchoff is the Vice President of Policy and Regulatory Affairs at the American Exploration and Production Council, a federal trade association representing leading oil and natural gas exploration and production companies in the US. Ms. Kirchoff leads AXPC’s environmental, health, safety, and regulatory policy efforts to collaborate among industry and government partners on driving solutions to our nation’s most pressing environmental and sustainability concerns.
Ms. Kirchoff joined AXPC from Chevron Corporation, after a 2020 merger with Noble Energy, a U.S. independent oil and natural gas company where she had worked for nearly a decade. Ms. Kirchoff served on Noble’s EHSR Leadership Team and was responsible for identifying changing public policies related to state and federal environmental and safety regulations and advocating on the company’s behalf. She directly supported business in Texas, Gulf of Mexico, Midstream, Marcellus, and Colorado. She also engaged with state and federal agencies and held key industry leadership roles in trade associations and industry organizations.
She began her policy career working for the U.S. House of Representatives, most recently as Legislative Director for Congressman Dan Boren (D-OK) and directed federal and legislative affairs at the Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA). Ms. Kirchoff sits on the board of the Groundwater Research and Education Foundation with GWPC and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Science at Texas A&M University.
